BANKTEXAS STRIKES GOLD IN BEST OF ARCHITECTURE AWARDS

The Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) has awarded a Gold Medal to BankTexas for its architectural design of a new ‘Bank Store’ in Lindale.

Bank President and CEO Troy Robinson and Vice President Charlie Rand accepted the award at the 35th annual IBAT convention in San Antonio during ceremonies honoring winners in the Best of Community Banking Awards presented each year to community banks across the state.

The Lindale Bank Store was built as a model for future expansion of the Quitman-based institution—“a branch that redefines ‘bank’; delights customers and engages passersby…a hub for the whole community, where people can host a meeting, surf the web, watch the news or grab a cup of coffee.”

Chris Williston, President of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas, presents BankTexas President & CEO Troy M. Robinson and Vice President Charlie Rand a Gold Medal for architectural design of the new Lindale Bank Store.

The new facility provided BankTexas with its strongest opening ever, with $2.2 million in new deposits and $2.1 million in new loans in the first three months.

The Best of Community Banking Awards recognize IBAT banks for outstanding service in the areas of architectural design, community service, financial literacy and marketing.  IBAT represents more than 2,000 Texas-based banks and branches in 700 communities.
